My approach

Here are some key influences shaping my current work and a little of what to expect when working with me.

Longer, multistage lives

In their ground-breaking book, The 100-year life, Lynda Gratton (a psychologist) and Andrew Scott (an economist) dismantle the traditional three-stage model of working life – “education, employment, retirement“. Together they explore how we are living longer (extending into the triple digits!), and the acceleration of a multi-staged life where studying, working, reskilling, caring, recharging, resting (and repeat) are the new norms. This has wide-reaching implications for you, your career, organisations, policy and society – let me help you plan for it!

I support you embrace this fundamental paradigm shift, by helping you understand how your personal values and strengths will support you plan for multiple career stages across your life.

Skills-Based Work

The future of work is skills-based employment. The demand for specific skills rather than organisational experience or study credentials will continue to shape the labour market and career opportunities.

I support you excel in this skills-based world, by assessing your unique skills, crafting (and recrafting) a career that aligns with your expertise and foster a learning mindset for future skills-building.

The Role of Emotions

Emotions are a fundamental part of a humans’ decision-making process. My approach recognises the significance of emotions as a superpower in guiding your career choices. I understand how emotional factors play a central role in how you make decisions, set goals, and transition through different career stages.

I support you to harness the power of your emotions to navigate your career transitions successfully, by fostering self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
